The Odyssey begins by showing an African rapper with rasta in the role of a Greek poet. We Greeks are forced to watch our Greek history and culture being disgraced and mocked across the entire world. What is Nolan's real role in doing something like this instead of casting a Greek person speaking Greek? What's the purpose of casting someone with rasta in the Greek world?
I'll tell you. Nolan and Hollywood are the real racists and enemies of the West. They hate us Greeks. The simplest confirmation comes from the fact that when a film is about African history, they don't cast white people, only Africans. When it's about Chinese or Japanese history, they cast only Asians, and they even speak only in their own language. But now that the time has come for a film based on Greek history with Greeks, not a single Greek is cast, they don't speak even a bit of Greek, and they don't even respect Homer. So, for films about European cultures, Africans, Asians, and anything else must be cast, but when it comes to African culture, whites are not allowed to play those roles.
This is the real racism of Hollywood.
Hollywood is a cancer that rots your souls and enslaves your minds and spirits. They hate you and they want to destroy you. Never forget the real enemies of the West and of your race. Those who are in universities, the academics, teaching your children how to hate their ancestors instead of honoring them. Don't do them the favor. Love the Greco-Roman world and fight those who hate you.
Never forget the traitors who took everything as a joke and contributed to the plan to destroy Western civilization.
Inside of me there are two wolves. One of them thinks that was an insane horror sequence, the other is mad they turned Polyphemus into barely more than an animal and removed the Nobody bit.
The Odyssey is a weird book with a lot of repetitive things. Nolan cuts a lot of that fluff out and I think it makes the story better for the most part.
1. You’re kinda a loser for not thinking this part was cool. 2. They literally are still the giants. 3. Nolan makes a very calculated decision here by not having two almost consecutive parts of the story be where giant people/monsters eat the crew and throw boulders.
Im surprised more people aren’t talking about just how atrocious this scene is in the Odyssey. Nolan took a part of the story about savage giants who throw boulders at and eat Odysseus’s crew and changed them to be weird 12ft tall medieval knights or something.
there’s not really a shorthand for “i think i have a bit of a crush on you and i’m not going to do anything about it due to risk of messiness but the door is wide open for you to do something about it”
The Odyssey releases on the 17th of July, and I do not want a single one of you watching it.
Christopher Nolan has desecrated one of Europe’s foundational myths. This film deserves to fail. Do not give it your money!
I’ve gotten to know Mallory a bit over the course of this campaign, and she is an extremely principled and thoughtful person, not to mention an extremely talented legislator.
She entered the race with a huge name ID deficit, and yet scored tons of endorsements and raised a ton in small dollar contributions.
It is very difficult running a campaign — especially in this environment — that seeks to thread the needle between two increasingly diverging wings of the party. She and her team should be proud of the race they ran.
Mallory has a very bright future in Michigan politics, and I have no doubt we have not seen the last of her at the statewide level.
PLAYSTATION IS ENDING PHYSICAL DISCS
Starting January 2028, new games releasing on PlayStation consoles will be digital-only. Games already released won’t be affected.
Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t. Maybe that’s not something that can actually be determined. Regardless, this is an insufferable way to think about film and art.

If you don't think Brennan Lee Mulligan removing rolls from a Critical Role episode was intended to be destructive to the hobby you haven't been paying attention.
