@d_a_robson NewSci re scientific 'spiritual' experiences: as an undergrad I spent time studying the spherical point group in symmetry, then commutators in angular momentum. Finally seeing them merge as one left me a giggling wreck on my bed, and in an altered mood all evening...
@ProfMarkMaslin That's awful. But rather belatedly, I wish someone had ignited the Nordstream leaked gas -- surely the resulting CO2 and soot would be less bad greenhouse-wise than almost pure methane, at least over the next decade or two.
If one of Putin's inner circle shorted commodities, went long on stocks, and then had something unfortunate happen to their boss, they would do very well indeed financially. One individual could shift world markets in an opportunity like no other in history. Just a thought...
@chrisstovell Ah, that's nasty, but it's good! Sounds like you have the BPPV thing which can miraculously disappear with the whacky exercises, rather than some horrible disease. Thanks for the tip re angling head before turning over, too!
@santanderukhelp For your tech team: I keep all my PDF statements; usually they have modest file size. But sometimes they are way bigger without obvious reason. Please can you keep them small? If they get multi-MB, they quickly mount up. Here's my recent current a/c ones. Thanks!
@BBCRadio4@EvanHD enjoyed _The Bottom Line_ re OneWeb. But no mention of G word -- UK losing our expensively-won access to Galileo due to Brexit was the original justification for spend. It was respun as a comms investment only after govt ridiculed for buying unsuitable system.
#Strictly entertaining as ever but _please_ send Bruno out to Radio Shack to get a better microphone -- his sound quality would get a judge's "2" lollipop at best.

@LondonMarathon The email and website disagree for champs qualification, I applied with 2018 time but ran sub-2:45 in VLM 2019 too. Website: I can use existing 2019 sub-2:45 VLM time. Email: have to run sub-2:45 again in virtual, else race sub-2:40. Please fix, and pref allow existing sub-2:45!
#bbcathletics : "Just fill in the form below" -- it isn't there currently at https://t.co/BDG35oiibF . My Sun plan is to run a full (easy & socially distant) marathon from home, my route sketching out a Covid angel/nurse as my first ever 'GPS art'. We'll see how well it works!

@blinddaveheeley Thanks v much for signing ur book for me (via your kid's teacher R Ferreira). A marathoner with poor recovery, I found your ability to bounce back each day from heroic endurance feats incredible, esp Top to Toe, & great insight into what blindness means. Go well!

So I'm off to Aston on Thursday to talk about the track work we did in July -- including possibly the first ever demonstration of cooperative collision avoidance by two full-sized cars... still much to do though!
