September 30 is Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, honouring the painful legacy of residential schools, the children who never returned home, their families, and the resilience of Indigenous communities across the country.
CCBC sees this day as an important opportunity for Canadians, and those doing business with Canada, to reflect on Canada’s history and the relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. Reconciliation is an ongoing journey that extends beyond this single day.
