With further review it I believe we can also further confirm this with the iconic tail section seeming to match the #An225 and the matching roof of the #Antonov factory building
Just so everyone is aware, I'm unfortunately very busy with term papers right now so I haven't ve as active as I'd like. In the meantime follow @int_osic @sentdefender@PeterCorless@The_IntelHub@RealCynicalFox among others to keep up to date
Satellite imagery matches the paneling type of the hanger, and ground level photo's match the open back and from the of hanger. I believe we can confirm the #An225 has been destroyed
#Russia delaying the opening of the Moscow Stock Exchange by 3 hours, little reason to do so unless they expect the situation to change in the very near future. Though reports suggest further delays are possible if the development of current situations makes it prudent
President Zelensky talked to Lukashenka today. "I don't want missiles, planes, helicopters to fly from Belarus to Ukraine". Resume of his talk, with English subtitles
We can confirm this is a fake account. After asking questions their story was clearly full of falsehoods. The account claimed they fought their way out of Kiev south before there were any Russian troops in that area, and appeared in Kherson hours later.
If this is an accurate assessment it seems most likely that we're looking at a similar situation to Soviet pilots in the Korean war. Could just see repainted marking on the aircraft but still flown by Polish and other NATO/EU pilots
@michalkrsek The first photo is an example of a Ukrainian cockpit with the standard equipment. Second photo is a modernized NATO MiG cockpit. Notice the addition of a second MFD, and the change from a tube display to a LCD MFD on the right hand side. Both of these would require time to learn
@artartakyn @OSINT_Canada As mentioned in another reply, NATO MiG's are different than Ukrainian ones, specifically with regards to upgrades to the cockpits and communications systems
@michalkrsek If I'm not mistaken Poland/Slovakia have equipped their MiG's with NATO compatible IFF, Link-16, glass cockpits, and other adjustments 2/2
@michalkrsek It's largely an assessment on the short turn around time of this announcement to operations. I'd be very surprised if they were able to move the required pilots and have them up to speed on the differences of the NATO MiG's. NATO MiG's do have some equipment changes 1/2
@canada_osint If the photo is recent this might help validity it, 2nd photo is a map of the wind direction and looks like it’s been blowing in that direction for a bit, matches the smoke direction in the photo
With further review it I believe we can also further confirm this with the iconic tail section seeming to match the #An225 and the matching roof of the #Antonov factory building
