Ontario says it wants skilled trade people to support its economy but suspends the EE skilled trade stream.

🎓 IRCC has announced major changes for grad students.
From Jan 1, 2026, master’s & PhD students at public institutions are exempt from the study permit cap—no PAL/TAL required.
PhD applicants abroad (and family) can get permits in as little as 2 weeks.

🚨 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲: Under Bill C-12, anyone who filed an 𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗹𝘂𝗺 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟬 from inside Canada will now be ineligible.
