@StefSpodeUK Thank you for bringing this to our attention. As it is an offence to take any native fish species away from a canal or reservoir, we highly recommend calling the Police on 101 to report this incident. We appreciate your help in tackling this issue.
@kevmaslin Gorgeous shots Kev! Please could we share them on our channels in the future? As always, we would credit you each time they're used. Please do let us know if this would be ok, thank you ๐
@ROBANDTHEMOB Hi, thank you for reporting this issue to us. To assist us in quickly addressing this, could you provide a What3words location reference? https://t.co/UMnxbdTamI Just click on the the location you've seen this issue and it should show three words. Thanks!
@BewlayBuddha here: https://t.co/R6tTk2nsOP Alternatively, it may also be worth reporting to a local animal welfare organisation who may be able to provide assistance. 2/2
@BewlayBuddha Hi there, thank you for your message. We are so sorry to learn of this. In circumstances such as these we would always recommend contacting the RSPCA in the first instance as they are best placed to help and assist with animals. Their details can be found 1/2
@suewilkinson13 We agree Sue, heart breaking news ๐ Learning water safety skills can make such an important difference. One message we always support sharing is Float to Live from the RNLI, which could help save a life in an emergency ๐ https://t.co/BoXrK1Zmnl
@userchooser Thanks for your message. If life is in immediate danger, it's recommended that the Police are aware. We have, as stated, passed to the local team and will follow up with local authorities ourselves if necessary.
@RWLDproject Thank you for sharing. We're so lucky to have such wonderful people supporting our work and helping us to keep the nation's waterways alive ๐
@frantechno Hi, we do also have paid teams of staff along our canals who work incredibly hard but as our network ages, the cost of its care goes up and our government funding is reduced, our charity relies on the help of our brilliant volunteering teams.
