The central belt is fairly getting rattled with this storm.
Some scary gusts throughout the night and this morning.
No it’s not the Forth & Clyde canal this is the Argyle line under water at Dalmarnock

#OnThisDay 66 years ago the 1,387yds long Severn Bridge was partially demolished by two out of control tanker barges, ironically while works were ongoing to strengthen it to carry heavier locos. Sadly five lives were lost. Image of the aftermath from here: https://t.co/rxPS2xWTu2
Very very sad to hear North Tyneside Council are looking to demolish this on the grounds of safety.
Over the past 40 years we’ve gone from hundreds of these to a handful. To see this gone brings back the same emotions as the Dorman Long tower on Teesside.

Bell is getting extreme levels of abuse this morning, simply for raising concern about this event, and flagging that no lessons have been learned about the treatment of Professor Jason Arday.
Solidarity to Bell, solidarity to Jason’s family, and solidarity to every Black academic and student forced to endure this culture of racism - both online and in our institutions.
AI and new technology should make railway workers' lives better.
Not make their jobs disappear.
We're not against progress.
We're against workers paying the price for it.
AI companies creating AI agents then claiming these agents are going “rogue” is a WILD dodge of accountability. YOU BUILT THEM. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEM.
Great evening with my brother Kevin remembering our grandfather, celebrating Black History Month at Portsmouth & Southsea with @HampshireCRP and @RWLDproject
@ChrisCo49821424@HampshireCRP Thanks Chris, and to Kevin - so brilliant you could do this and share your Grandfather's story! And it was really lovely that there was someone else attending who remembered Charlie 😃
