@IJF856@GavinCurnow@BBCNewsnight@reformparty_uk I was pointing out that you were incorrect. As an Australian, my level of caring about who was picking up the tab approaches zero.
It is more appalling that so few people could be bothered to turn out to vote. That's the big message - very few Brits care at all.
@IJF856@BBCNewsnight@reformparty_uk Reform UK offered to cover the estimated £275,000 cost of the election since Farage was the one who triggered it. However, the British government officially blocked this offer, stating that election laws strictly forbid candidates or political parties from funding public votes.
@bigchefjay Trying to recall the last time there was a similar headline involving a drag queen or trans person. . .
I know which community I would prefer to read stories to my kids!

Sánchez appears to have been perfectly successful professionally before getting into a relationship with Bezos.
Unless you're Elon, billionaires have to marry someone.
@Bigly20@AlboMP This appears to have happened in September 2023 when Antic was part of the delegation advocating for the release of Julian Assange.
Antic joined a meet-and-greet group at a Trump rally and claims they got to talk about shopping and sunblock - clearly time well spent.

They are trying to set up a lose/lose scenario.

@Blessed84314132@LT_Aust It seems you do not understand how Aus government works.
State Governments can enact laws.
Referenda are to change the Constitution.
Local councils are granted the power to issue fines through state and territory laws, which outline the offenses for which fines can be imposed.
@SenatorCash The Opposition has yet to provide anything approaching a plausible plan for Australia's Future, budgetary or otherwise, and so it seems about time they did so.
