📰IN THE MEDIA⬇️| A new best practice guide developed by @PathologyRCPA and @TOGAANZ offers valuable recommendations for lung cancer care. However, concerns remain about the potential impact of stigma on participation in the #NationalLungCancerScreeningProgram.
🔬A media content analysis led by #DaffodilCentre Postdoctoral Research Fellow Dr Shiho Rose and her team revealed that stigmatising language - such as blame-focused terms and moralising narratives - continues to be prevalent in media coverage.
🔍The media plays a critical role in challenging the stigma surrounding lung cancer and encouraging people to engage in the screening program.
