Now that CCGS Imnaryuaq has been laid down at @Seaspan, it's perhaps worth it to remind everyone just how good #icebreaker Canada is building.
The red dot is CCGS Imnaryuaq's design #icebreaking capability on the h-v-curve of Project 22220 nuclear-powered icebreakers.
💪
We’re building six new icebreakers for the Canadian Coast Guard.
All six will be built in Canada, with Canadian steel, at the Davie Shipyard in Lévis, Québec — creating nearly 5,000 good jobs during construction alone.

I have a new video coming in the next couple of days that follows the Arctic theme, with a broader look at the state of Canadian Arctic security.
I’ll also try out some newer editing techniques that hopefully improves viewing experience. Stay tuned!
The future CCGS Sermilik is being built, one block at a time. 🚢
Block 986 is now painted and has been moved into the Module Hall at @IrvingShipbuild, in Halifax, #NovaScotia, where it will soon join the stern and centre mega blocks.
This is a pretty comprehensive summary of the world's largest #icebreaking fleet renewal and expansion program. Canada should be proud!
Surprisingly, the runner-up is not Russia, but the United States with 14 new Arctic-capable #icebreakers in the pipeline.
Our new Polar icebreaker is coming together at @chantierdavie! 🚢❄️
Last month, the first superstructure block was moved to the assembly area after leaving the paint shop. It was then turned over and installed in its final position.
Hey everyone, I’ve created a new playlist on the channel to curate videos. As the topics diversify I’ll add in more categories.
Just released a new one on helicopters, which you can see here:

Amidst a sea of MOUs, this one is a big deal because it provides a commitment from Ottawa and Alberta to provide the “financial incentives” needed for the Canadian oil sector to grow by 2.3 million barrels a day 📈
ie after they fill Mainline, Trans Mountain expansion and South Bow Bridger, they need to produce enough to also fill the new West Coast Oil Pipeline https://t.co/GYFGzF7cwj
A lot of the items in the Major Projects Office docket are from Western Canada/BC - and just my own perception that this side of the country will play a big role in economic diversification
Open to feedback and suggestions on topics that may interest you
Currently running through some ideas on what topics to explore on video next.
Working on a piece related to CAF aviation and incubating some ideas on big projects out west
