When you stop doing what you know edifies and uplifts others — however small and seemingly insignificant —
simply because others have spoken against you [it], you have proved yourself unfit and undeserving of this stewardship.

Not the word of the day but definitely a word for our lives.
My pastor said, “What God requires cannot be substituted by what you want to give to Him.”
So, think about this. Is it obedience you seek or your own thoughts and assumptions you want to prove?
When taking decisions for the future, do you merely plan those based on pure human intellect and calculations?
OR
Do you align them to the Word and the promises the Lord has spoken to YOU about your life and your future?
So then, beyond merely your Sunday attendance and what you claim to have as a personal relationship with Christ,
Where are you on the Lordship/ Master and slave relationship? Or is it all always based on mercy, grace and favor?
Do not be fooled, there is more to it.
It would seem many of us have stopped at accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Savior alone and forgotten the “Lord” aspect of our Salvation.
The term “Lord” implies that He is Master, has Sovereign will and higher/ ultimate authority over us; that we BELONG to Him.
The word and term “Christian” never came from the disciples personally calling themselves that but from people around being able to identify and recognize Jesus Christ’s traits, habits and mannerism in them
“Although He was a Son [who had never been disobedient to the Father],
He learned [active, special] obedience through what He suffered.“
- Hebrews 5:8 AMP
Let love bring about service and service be rendered as a natural response to love.
Anything other than is but unwanted frustration and cancer-like resentment.
I don’t know how y’all do it but some of you feel like skies and sunsets, like a much wanted cup of coffee you end realizing you really needed and some of you, oh hell some of you and your hugs and arms really feel like home 🥹🤞🏾
You are the poetry I experience on a daily 💞🥰
May you find the courage and the strength to lay down your weapons and choose peace, while applying wisdom, over choosing a battle you know would have been won and justified.
It’s easy to quit and find a million and one reasons as to why you should leave things as is but it’s a lot harder to remember the why you have been placed somewhere and given the opportunity to do/experience something or someone.
If all you’re constantly looking for is understanding as opposed to accountability then you’re not ready to see and understand how your actions affect others.
