To improve land productivity and strengthen climate resilience, Candlelight implemented a new soil and water conservation measures in Balidhiig, Togdheer Region. reducing water runoff and enhancing moisture retention.

To empower women through agriculture, Candlelight established a greenhouse in Beerato village, Equipped with modern drip irrigation system, the initiative supports a cooperative of 30 women.
The women have successfully grown tomatoes and have now started harvesting their produce.

The construction of soil bunds is essential for restoring degraded grazing areas. Soil bunds help reduce surface runoff, retain rainwater and create favorable conditions for the natural regeneration of grasses and shrubs.
