What a fantastic day! We performed our fall cemetery clean up today with the gorgeous temperatures and pretty much every leaf off the trees… it was a spectacular accomplishment. @hssdbv@HSSD
Thank you to @hssdbv students & staff for volunteering to clean up & add flags to the Suamico Cemetery in honor of Memorial Day. We are proud of our students for honoring those who have bravely served. There will be no school on Monday, May 27 in observance of Memorial Day. ❤️ 💙
What a great day for our service project of cleaning up the Suamico Cemetery and putting out flags. Amazing to see former and current students, staff, and community members come together for a great cause.
Twenty-four years ago, Gene Eyster, a South Bend police officer, responded to a call about a newborn baby abandoned in a cardboard box. For over two decades, he wondered about the boy's fate. Recently, he finally discovered the answer, perhaps just when he needed it most.
In preparation for Veteran's Day, Bay View's Maputo Bay students volunteered their time to clean up the Suamico Cemetery. We are proud of these students as they lead with heart! 🍁@hssdbv
Today is one of the best days to be a teacher in Maputo Bay at BayView Middle School. Our students showed their citizenship and personal responsibility to the community by once again performing their community service project of cleaning up the Suamico Cemetery. AMAZING!
@HSSD
Another amazing community service event at the Suamico Cemetery! Thank you to everyone who made this event possible - Lamers Bus Lines, the Village of Suamico, the Howard Suamico School District and all the volunteers who joined us! @hssdbv@HSSD
Thank you Apollo House/ Howard Suamico alumni, Courtney Koeberl - for coming into my classes today sharing your career path with our students! Your honest and positive message was well received by all. @hssdbv@HSSD
The onus isn’t on teachers to fix what’s broken. Schools need to acknowledge their role in the problem and put in place structures, practices, and time for self-care, reflection, and general well-being.
