It's not an accident that we don't trust our own instincts. Churches & whole cultures train us to trust our leaders over our own instincts & whispers of the Holy Spirit. We must take responsibility & stop explaining away the things that are right before our eyes. #spiritualabuse

Our first home was built in the early 1900s with plaster and lath walls, a coal fireplace, and all kinds of character. But with the lights off, sunlight streamed through tiny cracks around the fireplace from settling that had taken place years before.
