the math n science dont matter .. facts arent feelins & unfortunately perception is rarely quantifiable with stats... especially to kids. a team player knows when to be Deena instead of beyonce
My HOA sent me a letter requesting that I stop handing out full-size candy bars for Halloween this year.
-Fun-size bars are usually 15–25¢ each.
-Full-size are around 75¢–$1.
Most people give out 2–3 fun-size anyway, so the real difference is often only a few cents per kid.
Am I crazy, or is it weird for an HOA to police this?
Let’s be real here… The outrage isn’t really about the very small minority who push it too far and work out in g-strings. It’s about the girls with curves. The girls who are attractive and make average men + women feel uncomfortable. It’s always been about that. A girl wearing the same outfit with a flat ass wouldn’t have been used as the example on the right.
Curves mean you instantly get deemed a slut or a whore because assigning a moral defect gives people a justification for diminishing your value. Being attractive apparently needs to come with a character flaw so everyone can feel better about it.
And what exactly is she supposed to be taking accountability for here? Having a body you find sexual? Wearing clothes that make its proportions visible? Neither tells you anything about her sexual history or why she’s at the gym. And for context here in Arizona, grannies wear spandex and sports bras at the gym. Because it’s the desert and no one cares. It’s hot.
There is nothing inappropriate for the gym about what the woman on the right is wearing. Her outfit covers what it needs to cover and allows her to move. Having developed glutes does not make her a whore. If the standard requires one woman to conceal significantly more of her body because of its shape, then we should at least be honest about what’s being policed (her body).
I got reprimanded by a family member for calling an older cousin by their first name (as they requested I do) and it was such a wild experience. Had to pull that person to the side and say I know you only recall me as a child but I’m very grown. Don’t do that again.
