🚨 2024 Season Preview 🚨
Grapevine Faith Christian
TAPPS D2, District 1
HC: @bholland825
RC: @darrickware
Team: @GFCSFB@Corbzirwin@Noah_Smith09@AustinCosby_@Jake__f@NathanaelD22472@CharlieBunch_@canon_hunter@CDonovan1128@Cody_Bowman2027@AustinOdette1@keyshawnwyatt31
Grapevine Faith lost a lot of talent as Ben Wagoner and Clayton Sobecki have both moved on to NCAA Division 1 football. Additionally, the Lions also lost a few key players to the transfer portal. However, the team now boasts one of the most loaded young rosters in TXPSFB. If they can keep this young group together, they could potentially achieve great things in the future. Leading the way for the Lions will be linebacker Corbin Irwin, joined by fellow linebacker Jake Ford and a crew of defensive linemen including Van Schoemaker and three incoming transfers: Austin Odette, Jude Miles, and Nate Demarest. Christian Corley will lead the secondary group. Offensively, there is a QB battle between Austin Cosby and Byron Nelson transfer Cody Bowman. Whoever wins the job will rely on favorite target Noah Smith for big plays. Austin Bolling and Ryan Perdue return as starting offensive linemen.
As an outsider, I see some promising things from this squad as Coach Holland and his staff enter their second season. This year may not be their year, but don’t be surprised if they make some waves in the near future.
1st off I want to give big thanks to the man above. God blessed me with an opportunity that I’ve have been working extremely hard for behind the scenes. I will be the receiver coach this fall season at GrapeVineFaith Christian School.
