The Canopies project has completed its 4 years of life. The results obtained in Human Workers and Multi-Robot Teams in Precision Agriculture Systems, were presented in the final review with an excellent evaluation. Congratulations and we hope to meet in future robotic proposals!
🍇📢📢 Canopies partners have carried out real experiments and demonstrations throughout the month of September. The final demonstration of the project will be held on October 1 and 2.
Many successes in this great challenge: robotics for table grape harvesting and pruning!!!
And that's a wrap!
We had a fantastic week at @BEC_BIEMH, where we showcased our versatile solution, TIAGo, and learned about the latest trends in the #manufacturing#industry.
Thank you, @HispaRob, for the invitation. Together, we push the boundaries of #robotics forward!
🍇🍇🍇Antoni Grau, researcher from UPC, presented the Canopies robotic solution for table grape harvesting and pruning, in the workshop"Food losses in primary sector: quantification, prevention, good practices and technological solutions" in Cabrils, Spain, on May 23rd.
During this week, Canopies team will develop an "integration week" at Pal Robotcs facilities in Barcelona, Spain. Robotic harvesting and pruning will be tested.
Good luck to all our colleagues!!!
Our colleagues from UNIROMA1, Sara Kaszuba and Sandeep Reddy Sabbella, participated in the interview "How will humans and robots work together on the farms of the future?".

At our booth during the @HumanoidsConf, we showcased the @CanopiesProject. The project focuses on developing a Human-Robot prototype for crop farming, specifically in table grape vineyards. To learn more: https://t.co/pToQyLiQBk
📢🤖🍇Our partners UNIROMA1 and UNICLAM, will set up an exhibition area at the Maker Faire event in Rome to advertise CANOPIES project with 3 robots running different demos. From October 20th to 22th.
The @CanopiesProject robot performed a range of operations, including harvesting, advanced field mapping, grape quality classification, safety-related human-robot interaction tasks, human motion prediction, and human intention recognition in a vineyard in Italy. 🍇
📢🤖📆 Our partner PAL Robotics will be disseminating the CANOPIES project in the AUTOMATICA event on 27-30th of June, in Munich.
We would like to encourage you to visit the booth and make a look to the robots used for table grape pruning and harvesting!
