@staceybrotzel Completly agree! I was there earlier today. I was shocked how difficult it was to find parking. It didn’t help that a lot of the parkades are being repaired. I’m guessing all the rain has taken a toll.

@Mitchell_AB Things changed since Covid. The mountains have become a lot more expensive and significantly busier. I’m guessing it’s in part because the Cdn dollar goes a lot farther for tourists.

@Mitchell_AB I also think the lowest taxed jurisdiction comment is misleading since under the UCP, we have some of the highest utility and insurance costs in the country.

@Mitchell_AB For me, as someone who’s not a camper, it’s how hotel prices in Banff and Lake Louise have exploded and it’s hard to justify spending over $1000 for a couple of days in the mountains, which have now become overcrowded.

@draliesmail @AndieWinnipeg I am not sure why you think there’s no accountability in the public sector. In the GOA, there is typically too much work and not enough staff. Managers are accountable to make sure work gets done. There’s far more accountability in the public sector than you realize.
