@whoolove It is usually bc of bus scheduled. Younger kids start around 8 or 8:30 and districts only have so many buses; public transprt only exists in big cities. Walking to school is rare bc sidewalks are nonexistent.

@rjbrumbelow My aunt and uncle lived in a small town for awhile. He was the postmaster, both Christian, and he was a vet. Town was still judgemental looking for mistakes. We visited a lot bc my gma lived with them then went into a nursing home in town.
