Bangladesh says they closely monitored PM Modi's address to his nation and were deeply disappointed by the lack of acknowledgment from him about Bangladesh's close monitoring of the evolving situation between India and Pakistan over the past week.

The official statement said that such sustained attention to regional developments warranted at least a brief mention or expression of appreciation. The statement added that, as a form of protest, Bangladesh would temporarily suspend its close monitoring efforts.
