3 weeks ago when I picked her up she was utterly broken. Today Biscotti was getting her golden ticket to retire with us. According to the kind local who alerted usโฆ
๐ป She had been hit by a truck recently. Locals had also been chasing her and possibly hitting her. She was hiding under a shack with no fur and her nose was rotting away with a bacterial infection. Thatโs how her story was going to end.
๐ก She now has a golden ticket to stay with us for the rest of her life. Her health is improving very fast with daily vet care.
๐ She has made some wonderful gentle friends. She really likes the company of gentle dogs and humans.
๐ฉท I gave her one of Tinaโs old bandana to welcome her in officially.
Biscotti literally cannot stop smiling. Love, care and security have given her a new chance at life. What a lovely dog she is.
For #StoneworkSunday The elaborate Gothic screen at St David's cathedral was erected by Bishop Gower in the 1340s Look closely and you will see it is decorated with tiny human heads! The figures on the screen are of modern date including the statue of St David
On this #ChristmasEve I would like to thank you all for helping to make this account the friendly, warm and kind community it is, where we can share a positive moment in each day. I hope it makes a small difference to you. Happy Christmas and thank you โค๏ธ๐
On Christmas Day, NHS staff will continue to do what they do best, looking after us when we need it most ๐
We don't stop for Christmas. NHS staff will be dispatching ambulances, delivering babies and serving Christmas dinners.
A huge thank you to all our staff.
Rana and Mara wandered slowly through the lush, green pasture. This has been an emotional week, but watching the girls fills us with peace and gratitude. Read more here: https://t.co/dZ9P4mWKCG
Loks like Elfie is on Santa Paws nice list. Listen to him munching his treats and watch his daughter Winter run off with the spoils fox-style. Wishing all fox friends a wonderful Christmas and Blessed Yule. ๐
My thoughts are with a the amazing sabs that will be in the fields on Boxing Day and New Year's day to save fox lives. I salute you. Please be safe. X
๐ Every single day I feed 80 street dogs in Thailand
๐ฅ We also cook food for 800 dogs in total around the island which gets handed out by volunteers and shelters
๐ต The dogs all know the sound of the scooter coming from miles away
๐ Tey hall look so healthy because they get medicines and vet trips when needed
โ๏ธ Every dog we can we sterilise to control populations. 2000 this year alone
The truth is I could easily pay someone to do the morning feed for me given how many balls I am keeping in the air with this mission to save street dogs. I never will though and will always start my day on the moped as it keeps me close to the problem. It makes me remember why I do this. Also just showing up and being there for the dogs is important for me as someone who is a recovering alcoholic. How could you possibly let those wonderful creatures down ๐ฅฐ๐
This boy badly needed our help today.
To anybody who comments on my posts / shares / supports my work this is the only way I can say thanks. By using the good will and support to spend time helping the dogs who need it most and who have no one.
Have a lovely holidays ๐
Meet an Abert's squirrel (Sciurus aberti), aka Tassel-Eared Squirrel.
Those spiky ear tufts are a winter feature, helping with insulation in snowy habitats like the Rockies.
