I use a small "terminal-server" for development with small SSD, but larger HDD.
I've created two simple bash-scripts that help move projects I currently don’t work on from SSD to HDD (and back). The scripts are available on GitHub, link on my blog: https://t.co/rwsxQ8YgMK
Briefly, I want to address the issue of who is to blame. Easy — the people behind the attack. Lasse, the maintainer of xz, was the target of a patient intelligence campaign that invested more resources into subverting him than anyone invested into his project.
📢 If you hate writing software, you may just be in the wrong role.
I’ve worked with a LOT of different companies and teams over 20+ years.
Typically I've been happy. But sometimes, I've been miserable. On one team, I thought “I hate coding”.
Turns out, I didn’t hate coding. I just hated coding on that team.
🚫 We constantly had unrealistic deadlines
🚫 We weren’t empowered or trusted
🚫 Tech debt was out of control
🚫 My team wasn’t respected
🚫 My boss was a liar
I found a new role and realized: Hey, software development with these folks is fun again! 😀
So, if you’re unhappy, look around. Greener pastures are out there.
In my opinion the general availability of virtual threads made 21 the most disruptive and innovative Java release since 8...

Sometimes I really don't understand developers 🤷
This looks like one of those "I need to publish so I throw something at a language model it clearly wasn't trained to do and then tell everyone see how bad it is" studies. What's the news in this and what is to be gained from that? If it COULD do it, THAT would be newsworthy.
.@yazio I really enjoy your app (and especially that you are EU-based)!
As a developer, I'd really appreciate if you could provide an API so that I could write some smaller scripts and integrations.
I'd be absolutely fine if a PRO subscription is required for usage.
Yes, I always fill such forms from my password store. Annoying if I can't due to paste being disabled. Sometimes AutoType to the rescue, but in general: let me work how I want to work. Please!
Interesting article on "prompt injections" and their dangers to things like #AutoGPT, #ChatGPT Plugins, and similar tools that allow LLMs to execute external actions.

(in Oberösterreich)
Playing with my e-ink M5Paper. I've created a "remote dashboard". It renders a JPG every 15min. Works great. Battery life is around 10-20 days.

@toddaclare@shanselman Exactly this. One of the things that works better on Google Calendar.
I sometimes answer "tentative" in the response and then move the local copy to "show free" just to achieve something like that, but with confusing the organizer.
