If the full levy was used instead of a profit sharing model Jamaica could’ve earned US$81.53M or J$13.04B. Great managers of the economy you say?

[Stephan E. Jasquith 🇯🇲 @Capi_Nostra]

Let me harp on something old but relevant. The JLP had a profit sharing agreement with Noranda bauxite company (2018-2021) that covered the mining, export and refining of bauxite deposits from St. Ann. The govt under Nigel Clarke only earned US$20M.

@maxtop123 I’m not surprised, so I’m guessing the CG’s ruling isn’t legally binding?

[Stephan E. Jasquith 🇯🇲 @Capi_Nostra]

Wait until y’all see the amount of taxpayers money wasted on business minister Aubyn Hill’s extensive trade missions that has not yielded any meaningful gains to GDP growth or employment.

[d demercado 🤔⚖💥 @denjamdown]

@Capi_Nostra Chopping long time ....

[d demercado 🤔💥 @denjamdown]

This👇🏾‼️'000 of millions of dollars of Jamaican taxpayers $ later ...
OCG warned us years ago ..."when people show you who they are ....believe them ...the first time" ...

[Stephan E. Jasquith 🇯🇲 @Capi_Nostra]

@denjamdown Wow, I didn’t know this.

[Stephan E. Jasquith 🇯🇲 @Capi_Nostra]

@jagpratar3 He just goes around doing photo ops, no relatability to the average citizens and their businesses. No innovative ideas, just mediocrity.

[Christopher B. Henry @ChrisHenry1690]

An agency that was designed to rebuild and create resilence has a CEO drawing more than the head of FEMA? That doesnt wave a huge red flag to you?

And what makes it worse it hasnt started yet and the proposed enormous spending isnt on rebuilding but has been on housing itself and making its ceo comfortable? Come on now man, this a nuh it

[Stephan E. Jasquith 🇯🇲 @Capi_Nostra]

Just like the Cannabis Licensing Authority, JSEZA & Jamaica International Financial Services Authority.

JLP has a trend of creating ineffective agencies to increase budget allocation as opposed to spending on the social capital of the state; THE PEOPLE!!!

[Gerro 🤪🇯🇲 @GerroKing]

I don't even like this NARRA project, its sounds like another useless entity that will just be collecting taxpayers money, do nothing and give the public bear excuses!

[Stephan E. Jasquith 🇯🇲 @Capi_Nostra]

Bureaucratic empire-building: Creating or expanding government agencies to gain bigger budgets, more staff, and greater influence.

This is NARRA’s real mandate.

[TheLawAbidingCitizen @lowchelsea1712]

Govt efficiency would be fixing ODPEM not creating a entirely new organization with bloated salaries to circle jerk and do ntn. It's a money grab, a golden opportunity to fatten party loyalists. Absolute corruption and Cronyism at full display in a time when potholes have names

[Stephan E. Jasquith 🇯🇲 @Capi_Nostra]

@JasmonjamSmith The National Reconstruction and Resilience Authority (NaRRA) is a dedicated public entity in Jamaica established to drive post-disaster infrastructure rebuilding and climate resilience following Hurricane Melissa.

[Stephan E. Jasquith 🇯🇲 @Capi_Nostra]

A simple legislative amendment to the ODPEM Act (2015) would’ve sufficed but NaRRA’s real purpose is to be a gloried beggar agency of foreign aid under the guise of reconstruction.

[Little Joan@theHighGate @jagpratar3]

I'll never understand the people that come on here and defend bs like this. NARAA should've never been created and this pay package is usurous. If procurement and speed were the issue the govt should've amended the beauracracy not build a backdoor.

[k @KayceeMrtz]

Bitches be job shaming, whole time they a prostitute

[Butterfly @Fata_dana_pound]

NARRA is a department not a whole Ministry. Go down a Constitutional Affairs building n slap in some dry wall n mek space. Everybody just wa spread out so n den unu bawl bout d country no have no money

[i am….bailey angelou. @beeslilypad]

LIKE I WAS SOOO FUCKING CONFUSED THEY ACTED LIKE HE WAS TUPAC.

[Skores @Skores9q]

You know people don’t like to admit this but older cartoons they grew up with were woke and discussed social issues like this and were very on the nose about it

[Stephan E. Jasquith 🇯🇲 @Capi_Nostra]

The bureaucratic red tapes in agriculture is astounding, RADA field officers work with emotions as opposed to standards.

[Noz @nozzichee]

I can remember when mi just leave high and nothing naa gwaaan and mi never waa chop like everyone else so mi beg parish council two hog and dem go round me. Mi beg RADA screwworm powder for my dying goat and the people dem behave annoyed seh a trying youth a come to them.

[Stephan E. Jasquith 🇯🇲 @Capi_Nostra]

And all the incumbent does is say the opposition had 18 years but is at the helm for approx a decade with a failing SEZ regime, exploitative customs, no cash incentive for production, no development of shell factories at wharf…. Literally nothing to instigate productivity.

[Nationwide90FM @NationwideRadio]

The Inter-American Development Bank, IDB, chief of operations for the Caribbean Region, Karisa Ribeiro, says low productivity is a hindrance to Jamaica's growth even as she hailed the country's economic and fiscal stability.
