@CrazyoldmanG@ssilkaan@hodl_hans@Cointelegraph Search: “Blockstream Satellite Bitcoin”, “TxTenna goTenna Bitcoin”, or “Bitcoin LoRa transaction”.
It’s just signed transaction data relayed through satellite/radio instead of normal internet.
@sandman11881374 @foreignsplat @blexaarron_@ssilkaan@hodl_hans@Cointelegraph You’re still arguing apocalypse barter economics. In total collapse people use food, fuel, bullets, metals, whatever. Nobody denied that. But “better than BTC in Mad Max” is not the same as “BTC has zero value in normal civilization”. You keep winning an argument nobody made 🤣
@sandman11881374 @foreignsplat @blexaarron_@ssilkaan@hodl_hans@Cointelegraph This already happened. China banned mining and crypto trading, exchanges got shut down, banks blocked it, and BTC still didn’t die. It moved, adapted and recovered. So yes, bans can hurt price short term. They don’t prove zero value, they prove Bitcoin is hard to kill.
@sandman11881374 @foreignsplat @blexaarron_@ssilkaan@hodl_hans@Cointelegraph That’s off-ramp risk, not Bitcoin protocol control. They can mess with Coinbase, not rewrite Bitcoin or move self-custodied coins. You keep confusing the gate with the network.
@sandman11881374 @foreignsplat @blexaarron_@ssilkaan@hodl_hans@Cointelegraph Nobody denied that. But “temporarily unusable during full infrastructure failure” is not “zero value”. Your bank balance, stocks and cards also won’t buy bread in that scenario. You keep discovering the same point ahahaha and thinking it’s a killshot lol omfg
@sandman11881374 @foreignsplat @blexaarron_@ssilkaan@hodl_hans@Cointelegraph You’re confusing visibility with control. Yes, Bitcoin is traceable. No, that doesn’t mean governments can move your coins, freeze your wallet or change the ledger. Banks give authorities control. Bitcoin gives them visibility at best. Big difference.
@sandman11881374 @foreignsplat @blexaarron_@ssilkaan@hodl_hans@Cointelegraph You’re doing it again 🤣 “Price discovery is impaired in a crisis” doesn’t mean “BTC has no value”. It means communication and liquidity are disrupted, like every market. You’ve confused liquidity with value for 15 replies straight. 🤣🤣🤣
@sandman11881374 @foreignsplat @ssilkaan@hodl_hans@Cointelegraph The brain fart is watching you confuse servers, WWW, internet, decentralization, privacy, energy and monetary premium for 20 replies, then acting like you made a point.
@sandman11881374 @foreignsplat @blexaarron_@ssilkaan@hodl_hans@Cointelegraph “Anything on a network has admins” is exactly wrong. That’s the whole point of decentralization. Bitcoin has no admin with complete overview or control. Nodes verify, miners compete, users self-custody. You’re describing banks and centralized databases, not Bitcoin.
@sandman11881374 @foreignsplat @blexaarron_@ssilkaan@hodl_hans@Cointelegraph Your first point was price discovery during an outage. It would be impaired, like every market. But that doesn’t prove BTC has zero value. Since then you jumped to apocalypse, gold, privacy, energy and “blockchain good BTC bad”. That’s not an argument, it’s goalpost shifting.
@sandman11881374 @foreignsplat @ssilkaan@hodl_hans@Cointelegraph You call it wasted energy because you don’t understand what it secures: final settlement, scarcity and a neutral monetary network. Gold mining burns energy for rocks. Bitcoin burns energy for incorruptible settlement.
@CrazyoldmanG@ssilkaan@hodl_hans@Cointelegraph WWW is not the internet. Bitcoin doesn’t need websites, browsers or apps to exist. It needs communication between nodes. That can be normal internet, satellite, radio or any relay method. Confusing WWW with the Bitcoin network is exactly the problem here.
@sandman11881374 @foreignsplat @blexaarron_@ssilkaan@hodl_hans@Cointelegraph You’re not debating, you’re looping. Every time one point fails, you jump to another: servers, apocalypse, speculation, privacy. BTC has trade-offs, sure. But none of your arguments prove it has no value. They just prove you don’t like it.
@sandman11881374 @foreignsplat @blexaarron_@ssilkaan@hodl_hans@Cointelegraph Now that’s a real criticism: Bitcoin is transparent by default, not private by default. But “less private than cash” doesn’t mean “worthless”. People use banks every day and they’re far more surveilled. Privacy is a trade-off, not a killshot.
@sandman11881374 @foreignsplat @ssilkaan@hodl_hans@Cointelegraph No, I’m saying blockchain became relevant because Bitcoin solved the incentive problem: miners, security, scarcity and settlement without trust. A blockchain without those incentives is mostly just an inefficient database.
@sandman11881374 @foreignsplat @ssilkaan@hodl_hans@Cointelegraph “Blockchain is sound but BTC is ponzi fiat” makes no sense. Bitcoin is the reason blockchain has value as money: security, scarcity, decentralization, liquidity and network effect. Without those, “blockchain” is just a database with extra steps.
@sandman11881374 @foreignsplat @ssilkaan@hodl_hans@Cointelegraph You’re not arguing, you’re jumping from apocalypse, to speculation, to “blockchain good BTC bad”. That’s not analysis, that’s moving goalposts until one sounds good. Pick one claim and defend it properly.
@sandman11881374 @foreignsplat @blexaarron_@ssilkaan@hodl_hans@Cointelegraph Yes, dirt is more useful than BTC if civilization has no electricity, no networks and no price discovery. Congrats, you found the apocalypse scenario where all digital finance dies.
