Another Assemblyman arrested for taking penny-ante bribes. After Stevenson I would have thought everyone would know to reject envelopes full of money in favor of a "campaign contribution." https://t.co/wo2O15mk61
Do not allow Jeff Klein to become a judge. We voted out corruption. Do not let the Bronx party inject the corruption back in. cc: @CarlHeastie @MarcosCrespo85 @nydems@ZackFinkNews@TweetBenMax@ShaneGoldmacher
Gotta say, it’s unbelievably disturbing how many Republican men seem to believe that a teenage guy attempting to rape a woman is just typical “boys being boys” adolescent behavior.
@nypost “They convinced a lot of people that Klein was a Republican,” said Bronx Assemblyman Jeff Dinowitz, a Klein supporter.
Well Jeff, I was a Republican. #TheIDCisDead
Apart from Valesky, I actually hope the IDCers keep running on the other lines in the General because the only thing better than seeing them lose once would be seeing them lose twice. https://t.co/vYFmfaJdTi
Something to ponder - one of Skelos's gifts to Klein for empowering the GOP was to let Klein redraw his district. Klein added significant portions of the Riverdale and Kingsbridge that used to be in the 31st & 33rd. Klein lost big time in those areas. Pride goeth before the fall.
Looks like a few former City Hall colleagues are headed to Albany - congrats @jessicaramos & @SEichenstein! These are the types of public servants needed up there.
To make a tortured metaphor, voters showed that someone who has read sausage recipes, but has never seen sausage being made, is welcome to apply for line cook positions (Senate), but has no business applying to be head chef (Governor).
Earlene Hooper, an Assemblymember that couldn't even be bothered to set up an email address, lost her primary. She typically claimed 200+ per diems a year. Does this mean she is moving back to LI or is going to just do the other 100 days a year in Albany? https://t.co/BrVsTN9gk2
Senators Klein, Hamilton, Peralta, Alcantara, Avella, and Valesky were dumped by voters that insist Democrats actually be Democrats. Does Savino's win give "Nevertheless, She Persisted" a new meaning?
