An "original" Australian. Parents, GParents born here. Wont respond 2 mindless abuse. Won’t defend an argument I didn’t make. B rational & I am happy 2 talk.
Completely arse about.
Capitalism results without exception, in all boats rising.
Socialism results in 99% of boats sinking equally, while one yacht sails away.
Stop imagining and start thinking.
In 1959, Nikita Khrushchev visited IBM in California and couldn’t believe the workers carpark - full of cars workers had bought for themselves and were driving to work in.
He thought it was a hoax.
“The long march through the institutions" concept was developed in 1967 by German socialist Dutschke, who drew inspiration from the 1920’s Italian socialist Gramsci.
Gramsci noted that capitalism was too successful at delivering material improvement for workers, so the “institutions” which controlled the narratives - education, bureaucracy and media - should be shaped to persuade workers to ignore this.
And the Arctic has just had its coldest May since records began in 1913.
Climate is very complicated & CO2 is not the control knob. It will probably many years before we fully understand climate & it is unlikely we will successfully predict how the climate will change in coming decades. We must learn to adapt. Fossil fuels have helped us to adapt in the last 150 years!
As a gay man, I say: you did this - you, the far-Left LGBTIAQ+ activists with your grotesque parades, your absurd 'pronouns', your men in women's spaces and your drag queen storytimes.
You did this. You pushed and pushed the boundaries of power to see what you could get away with, using the 'cause' as a testudo: criticise us and you're a 'homophobe', 'transphobe', etc.
You used us, the 'normie' gays as a cause, to radicalise and militarise, whilst weaponising speech, with what others can and cannot say - and now you're surprised that there's kick-back?
Oh, sure, you'll now use that as: "See? See? Look at all the homophobia and transphobia! We told you!" but it was you that caused the homophobia and transphobia with your ridiculous power moves for 5% of the population.
We asked for equality. We got that. We asked for Same-Sex Marriage. We got that. But you wouldn't stop there. Emboldened by the generosity of those who, in many countries, voted for or supported the latter, you wanted to see how much further you could go.
You poked the bear. The bear didn't react. But you kept poking and finally the bear reacted. And now we're in a position where the bear recognises you every time and will swipe back.
You did this.
If emissions reduction were the real goal, nuclear would already dominate.
First off, it is the safest energy source per unit of power produced.
Secondly, it has the lowest life cycle CO2 emissions, lower than coal, gas and even wind and solar.
Thirdly, nuclear runs 93% of the time. Wind and solar don't come anywhere near that, just 33% and 23% respectively.
And on top of all that, a one gigawatt nuclear plant fits on about one square mile and powers 750,000 homes. Wind and solar require vastly more land, materials and backup batteries for the same power.
If climate alarmism were serious, the answer would be nuclear.
@BConn39@SimonBanksHB And paid off the huge debt accumulated under Labor and left future generations the best gift possible.
No debt and money in the bank.
Albo should take note; that’s what real reform looks like!
If One Nation wins parliament… they would
‘•Abolish the Department of Climate Change and related agencies, programs, and regulations, saving approximately $30 billion per year.’
Australia’s contribution to world climate action would be wiped out by coal & gas baron Rinehart.
The attacks on Pauline Hanson over policy modelling are fair game.
But they become comedy when they come from Anthony Albanese.
Let's compare records.
📊 Pauline is accused of not fully explaining the costs of some policies.
Anthony Albanese has never provided Australians with a comprehensive cost of:
🌏 Net Zero
⚡ the energy transition
🔌 transmission infrastructure
🏭 industrial decarbonisation
💰 the total economic impact on households and businesses
The single biggest economic transformation in modern Australian history is proceeding on a "trust us" basis.
Then there's:
❌ $275 lower power bills
❌ Snowy 2.0 cost blowouts
❌ NDIS cost explosions
❌ falling productivity
❌ stagnant living standards
And whenever questions are asked:
🎭 change the subject
🎭 blame someone else
🎭 avoid direct answers
🎭 promise another review
So yes, scrutinise Pauline Hanson.
But let's keep a sense of proportion.
When it comes to opaque costings, broken projections and avoiding financial accountability, Pauline Hanson is playing local club football.
Anthony Albanese is the reigning world champion.
