@TGrahamMemories indeed! i always assumed it was first introduced in the early 60s due to its use in world's fair promotional materials so 1956 was definitely a surprise (but a welcome one)

i can't find that specific logo any earlier though so i'm 99% sure that was one of the first uses

[VJ @CapnVJ]

@TGrahamMemories an even EARLIER predecessor to the walt disney script, dated 1955 and used a lot on records and things of that sort https://t.co/lPFZQCMCZu

[VJ @CapnVJ]

@TGrahamMemories this is the earliest example i could find of the disney script being used (at least in the disneyland guidebook) - 1956 https://t.co/VSineCbWsS

i'll keep investigating and see if i can find more!

[VJ @CapnVJ]

@TGrahamMemories found an early version (maybe a prototype) of the disney script from this 1956 mickey mouse club album cover https://t.co/OcqifFtEE0

@haydenevansart VF was one of the sites i frequented as a kid back in the early 2000s - i miss it a lot!

@doodahlanding i checked the pdf on the disneyland website (same map) and the tree image is literally 290x652 px even on the pdf - definitely not just you!
