Most women aren't crying over a man. They're crying over themselves, the effort they gave, the hope they held, the delusion they fell for, and the realization that love didn't reward them in return.
A breakup hurts, but nothing hurts like realizing you stayed through every red flag because you believed love meant patience. You kept understanding, forgiving, and fighting for them, only to wonder why you were giving everything to someone who wasn't even fighting to keep you.
If he cared, he would check on you. If he missed you, he would call. If you meant something to him, he would make sure you knew. We spend so much time overthinking someone’s silence, making excuses for their distance and trying to decode behaviour that really isn’t that complicated. When someone genuinely wants you in their life, you won’t have to constantly wonder where you stand.
May I never meet another man who gets annoyed when I express how he hurt me, then gets defensive and angry when I hold him accountable for his own actions. 🙏🏽
Be careful how many times you hurt someone who keeps choosing you. Every time they forgive you, you might think everything went back to normal. It didn’t. Something changed. Something got quieter. Something stopped trusting you as much. Eventually you’ll get the version of them you created and wonder where the person who loved you so deeply went.
