An Appeal to Shri Sonam Wangchuk ji:
• Nothing is more important than the welfare and future of our youth. The Hon’ble Prime Minister has emphasised that this remains the Government’s highest priority.
• The Prime Minister has made it clear that those who try to harm the future of our youth will not be spared.
• Today, the Prime Minister announced the decision to set up fast-track courts to ensure swift and stringent punishment for those involved in paper leaks and has directed all concerned authorities to take necessary steps in this regard.
• These measures continue the series of steps being taken for safeguarding the interests of students and strengthening trust in the examination system.
• At this stage, I sincerely appeal to Shri Sonam Wangchuk ji to end his hunger strike. Democratic dialogue and constructive engagement remain the best way forward.
