It's interesting to consider how these strange doctrines got into households in Paul's time and how they get into households in our time. Today its through social media and husbands failure to lead and protect their households from them. We need more men to put limits on how much time they and their wives spend online.

@JoelWBerry I literally just taught on this to my home group about Candace Owens and conspiracy theory ideology using this exact passage (and really most of the rest of @ Tim and 1 Tim). This way of thinking has a very similar root to gnosticism.

I have a few thoughts from tonight's Champions league match:

1. Liverpool are back - that's not to say there won't be more struggles along the way, but this is the Liverpool we all thought we'd see this year - and it is a scary preview of what is to come for other teams once it really all starts clicking.

2. Wirtz is starting to look REALLY good - he's not fully there yet, but his presence, style, impact are all starting to show. Don't let the lack of goals fool you - he's beginning to make a real impact and become a menace for other teams. Great showing tonight.

3. Connor Bradley looked really good (and Robertson) - I'm wondering if a lot of our problems stemmed from our new right/left backs not yet being the players we need them to be.

4. TAA got the welcome he deserved - and it was nice to see him cross the ball across the pitch to no one for a throw in for us.

Teach you kids to be competent in doing all of the above and when they get married they will partner with their spouses to accomplish all of them together. Some tasks will more come more naturally to the wife and others will come more naturally to the husband. And there may be some tasks that are more commonly handled by one sex that, in your marriage, will be enjoyed by the other party. Maybe the husband really enjoys cooking or the wife enjoys lawn mowing. And at times one spouse will have to cover the duties normally performed by the other. When my wife had our children, I did a lot of cooking. And most of all, stop listening to idiots on the internet

I think there's also another thing going on here - there are a lot of men who are really frustrated, discouraged, and/or defeated when it comes to being the man they are called to be, or finding a wife, or leading their family and marriage. Their anger comes out here because of their own personal struggle.

That's true. I want to see more men in healthy marriages, having kids, and making a positive difference in the world. I can promise you I will pray and work for that in the lives of the men I have influence with for the rest of my life. 💪💪 It is such joy to see men live out God's high calling for their lives.
