Jony Ive's recipe for progress: Conviction -> an Idea / Vision -> Resolve to make it real. Lot's of great nuggets in this talk https://t.co/EsLFZPtf6n
The problems they're solving for are above design twitters paygrade. With this "refinement" and emphasis on the wordmark it seems like they want to become this generations visa/mastercard. The logo is fun but not iconic/ubiquitous so it takes a back seat and becomes a plaything
lol at people declaring the new PayPal logo a crime against design, as though the previous mark was a thing of true craft and beauty. People need to stop being obsessed with logo marks. Itโs the context and broader visual language the logo sits in which makes the identity.
very cool that @cursor_ai can respond to downtime from one model provider by swapping it. There's a note but the user experience is completely seamless.
Writing code with @cursor_ai is incredible. It changes everything for me. At this phase of model capability, it feels like a perfect match for someone who wants to understand the code generated and can debug but is more concerned with outcomes.

We also argue over "Barbecue Grill"
hi hi @figma It would be a dream to be able to use absolute positioning for an element in a frame with autolayout. I keep finding myself trying to do cheeky shit with components but am limited by the model
As someone who's had Lyme disease and read extensively about it during my road to recovery, I'm aware of the concern related to communicable disease causing noncommunicable disease. It was a lightbulb moment for me. This article is packed with๐ก. Super interesting / terrifying
