@Atomsmade “Where did all the water come from?”
Today 70% of the earth is covered in water. If the ground was flat all land would be deeply submerged underwater. I’m not saying earth used to be like that entirely, but the Mariana Trench and the Himalayas have not been there forever.
@JeremyDBoreing@TheJollyBrawler I agree with this. Which is why my body will not be embalmed. My family may not like that my funeral is closed casket, but I don’t want my corpse mutilated, which is what the modern embalming process involves.
@jcher78 Ask yourself, is Jesus who he says he is? If you answer that question with a yes, there are consequences. Don’t run away from those consequences, you will get to know Him pretty quick.
@yidzick@UziCryptoo This 👆🏻
I’m not here to make money, the less I need to think about money, the better. In one direction financial problems cause stress. Trying to maximize personal profit and wealth does the same.
Every post I see about someone’s personal financial situation involves them having $15k plus in a car loan.
And they feel behind.
Well duh. Car loans are terrible in every way. No one should be taking out car loans. Period.
The 7 Baby Steps are:
1. Save $1,000 for your starter emergency fund.
2. Pay off all debt (except for the house) using the debt snowball.
3. Save 3 to 6 months of expenses in a fully funded emergency fund.
4. Invest 15% of your household income in retirement.
5. Save for your children’s college fund.
6. Pay off your home early.
7. Build wealth and give.
The current anti-Israel and even anti-Jewish sentiment online is a social contagion, no different than transgenderism or autism before it.
Of course, there is actually a condition known as gender dysphoria. But every family in Hollywood didn't suddenly and coincidentally have at least one child with gender dysphoria at the exact same time by natural processes.
And of course there is actually a condition known as autism. But every family in Manhattan didn't suddenly and coincidentally have at least one child with autism at the exact same time by natural processes.
You aren't an Israel skeptic, and you didn't start "noticing." You were told, and shown by interested parties, and you were rewarded with attention and dopamine by the tellers and showers.
And as with every social contagion, what you have been told and shown is an overwhelming quantity of selectively chosen half-truths -- or full-truths with half-context.
You believe you are a free thinker, but when every "free thinker" arrives at the same conclusion at the exact same time... well, the thinking isn't as free as you believe it is.
@SpeedWatkins The problem with your arguement is the first statement.
I reject the idea that in order for God to be perfectly good, He must want to save everyone.
For it is written, “I will have Mercy on whom I have Mercy, and Compassion on whom I will have Compassion.”
@Unashamed_Chuck Because I believe God is competent.
You cannot believe that God is both Omnipotent and wills all to be saved without being a Universalist.
All this hate for evangelicals when, statistically, we are the only bloc consistently holding it down for biblical marriage, the pro-life cause, secure borders, and every other issue.
We are by far the most conservative and united in every political, cultural, and moral area. This is not statistically contested. Without the strength and cohesion of this group, conservatives lose everything. Consequently, the country loses everything. Not an exaggeration.
So ask yourself: why would someone want to divide, destroy, and demoralize this stalwart group?
The answer is obvious if the person is progressive, but it becomes a bit murky when the people targeting this group are on the “right,” right? Something to ponder
@LinkofSunshine 2-party system mostly.
Parliamentary systems have a lot of different major voting blocks that split. Makes results more obvious, but the winners may only get 35% of the vote or whatever
