Classy from the narrowly defeated Labour mayoral candidate in Croydon (lost by 1% when the Greens took 17%). Rowenna ran a great local campaign and has a big future when not attached to the Starmer drag anchor.
The Tories made big gains on Croydon council and RD nearly won against the swing. Labour will now spend months arguing about which way to turn. They’d be better off picking some high calibre MPs individuals like her and listening to them
Today, our borough has a big choice: let Croydon become a ghost town, or get our town centre back.

Today, on the 37th anniversary of Hillsborough, I stood in the Commons as Parliamentary lead of the Hillsborough Law campaign and with a profound sense of obligation to the 97, their families including my constituent Debbie Matthews, survivors, and all victims of state cover‑ups.
I asked the Prime Minister to use the power of his office to make good on his promise to finally deliver a full Hillsborough Law that is worthy of the name.

37 years ago today thousands of Liverpool fans went to the semi final of the FA Cup. 97 never went home while another 760 needed treatment for their injuries. The lies, the cover-ups only made the families of the victims stronger, finally getting partial justice in 2017.
