On this day 1981 237th and final #Arsenal appearance for Willie Young. Having joined the club from Spurs, he quickly won over the critics by giving 100% in every match. He may not be Mr Arsenal, but folk hero he was and continued to support the club until his death in 2025. RIP
@Joker3hip1@Arsenal_rep1 He certainly looked rested in the Fleetwood game. I think if he was any more rested, he would have been asleep. Shocking performance by Havertz. Probably one of the worst I have ever seen in an Arsenal shirt - and I've seen a few.
Dave Gregory sent me the v. sad news that his brother & Duke of Stratosphear Ian (E.I.E.I. Owen) Gregory has departed from this life following a long illness. Ian was one of the nicest & easy going people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing & working with. Bye old mate. Andy
@AmbientAssemble@primarily_prog I was listening to 'You Might Recall' again a couple of days ago. A brilliant song, and I will never understand why it didn't make the cut for 'Abacab'.
@StevenEllisAFC@ClockEndJS Saliba is obviously an excellent defender, but when he has captained Arsenal to three league titles, captained his country at a major tournament, and has a statue outside the ground, then he can be compared to Tony Adams.
