An Ex-PlayStation exec says digital games won't be cheaper even when discs come to an end
"[The games industry] would prefer to maximize revenue however possible" he told Insider Gaming
People can do what they want but I hope they understand that once Sony goes full digital this won't happen. The only reason they have sales now is to compete with retail.
This affects everyone but some people are too stupid to even think about that simple fact.
Almost every game on my wishlist was on sale for between 50-75% off
However, since Sony are content with removing my choice as a consumer from 2028, I decided to use it now and remove everything from my wishlist. I’ll get them physically instead 💁🏻♀️
Thanks for the reminder, Sony

Why people usibg disc rot as some gotcha to why digital is better
It takes 20-100 years for it depending on if you keep the disc out or in cases/stored being the longest
I got ps1 games that have zero disc rot
You got more chance of a digital store front being closed than having disc rot
