@EmilyLPatrick1@EducationLaw2 The learning environment should be protected at all costs in schools. I am assuming the circumstances surrounding the student's death were questionable. This makes the wearing of the shirts possibly a disruption. @EducationLaw2#EducationLaw2
@KristinRSuggs @EducationLaw2 Kristin your comment about disturbing the learning environment is important to consider when deciding if students should or should not have to right to support an issue. The learning environment at school must be protected. #EducationLaw2@EducationLaw2
@EducationLaw2 Students can advocate for specific issues at their school under the 1st amendment rights but, if the activities taking place or shirts worn break specific school rules the right may be revoked! #EducationLaw2@EducationLaw2
@KatieWa77518755@EducationLaw2 Katie I agree with your statement that parents who chose to home-school may not be up-to-date on the most effective teaching strategies. Parents should make sure that they consistently educate not their children but themselves too! #EducationLaw2@EducationLaw2
@katelynmoore78 @EducationLaw2 Katelyn, I agree that school teaches more than academics and children that are home-schooled may be lacking in socialization and self-regulation skills that children learn while in classrooms. #EducationLaw2@EducationLaw2
@EducationLaw2 Homeschooling can be equivalent instruction if appropriate research and materials are used and applied. Many children and parents succeed using home-school curriculum that are based on GSE's. #EducationLaw2@EducationLaw2
@QueenLenci_ @carltondria @EducationLaw2 YES! If we discourage a child just because he/she has a disability we are not truly teachers. Our job is to encourage and support learning of ALL students!
@EducationLaw2 I agree with IDEIA's zero-reject philosophy. Every individual child no matter what his/her disability has the right to a FAPE. All children can learn, maybe not the in the same way on on the same day but they CAN! #EducationLaw2@EducationLaw2
I agree with IDEIA's zero-reject philosophy. Every student deserves the right to be educated no matter what their disability. No child should be excluded from a FAPE due to their disability. Any child can learn. @EducationLaw2#EducationLaw2
