They Boiled John in oil.

Stoned Philip to death.

They skinned Matthew alive.

Crucified Peter upside down.

Hung Luke from an olive tree.

Beheaded James with a sword.

None of the apostles died for a lie, They died because they saw the risen Christ.

I sure do love my "white privilege"

@ScottPresler I was on a time crunch, and there was a 50 minute wait at our precinct. We will try again tomorrow!

My coworker's mother passed away last November.

She left her modest $190,000 house to him clear and free, no mortgage, completely paid off after thirty years of factory work.

He moved into the home in January to finally settle the estate.

Two weeks ago, a letter arrived from the state Medicaid estate recovery office.

Because his mother spent four months in a rehabilitation facility before she passed, the state quietly slapped a retroactive $114,000 lien against the property title.

He called the state health department, frantic, asking how a hospital stay could bankrupt an inherited home that had no mortgage balance.

The caseworker sighed and told him:

"Federal law requires state programs to claw back healthcare costs from deceased estates. The house cannot be sold or transferred until the balance is cleared in full."

He offered to pay a monthly settlement.

They said no. The full $114,000 is due in 60 days, or they foreclose on the property at a public auction.

A lifetime of working-class savings, wiped out overnight by a retroactive healthcare lien.

You don't own generational wealth.

You're just holding a property title until the state finds a legal mechanism to repossess it the moment you die.

Ni una sola bandera de Francia en las "protestas" "estudiantiles". Solo banderas de entidades islámicas.

@mrddmia CNN would describe this as “mostly peaceful”.

This looks like the poster for a new movie. Hard to believe this is real life.

[Cara Matson @CaraMatson]

@ooh_mow Weird take, considering it was probably a woman who took every single player on that field to 10+ hours of football a week for 10 years before they ever made it to a level where YOU were interested.

The ACC did everything they could to keep their contender Miami in the race. Flat out gave them the game.

Can’t count how many holding penalties weren’t called against Miami, but they call a phantom holding penalty against FSU in the biggest possible moment.

Get us out of this conference, NOW.

[Hater Report @HaterReport]

NEW ANGLE. Apparently lying on your back holding the ball in the end zone isn’t a touchdown.

The refs called this an interception.

@MattConnolly___ Let me tell you about what happened in December of 2023.

[Breiden Fehoko @BreidenFehoko]

I won’t even be quiet about it no more. When I played in the NFL we all knew officials were rigging games certain ways. It happens at the college ranks. Last year when I put the NFL on blast about it they threatened to pull my pension. Fck em. The world deserves to know.

[College Football Report @CFBReport]

I think I just watched ACC refs rig a football game

The refs when FSU is about to beat Miami

[Link Jarrett’s Burner 🍢 @LinksBurnerFSU]

I’m not sure I’ve ever witnessed such an obvious referee induced manipulation of the outcome of a game like I just watched. Zero integrity for the sport. @theACC shame on you guys. Totally disgraceful

[Fifth Quarter 🍢FSU 🍢 @fifthquarterfsu]

We just completed back to back hail marys and lost. Absolutely unbelievable
