@platos_fire Glorious Exploits, published next year, is set in Sicily just after the Athenian invasion. It focuses on two local potters visiting prisoners in the quarry. It’s so original. Can’t recommend enough. 😊

@ae_stallings@mythsbaby That’s the thing - I believe Emily Wilson does not see herself as a feminist translator, she’s a translator who is female. They strip back centuries of patriarchy and give us a new outlook. Steph McCarter does similar. This is cause for joy, not fear and anger.
