Every Albertan should read this article and know just how much is at stake with Ottawa’s latest attack on our energy sector and our economy- it affects all of us.

@seansabraw@ABDanielleSmith so let’s say a senior couple owns a small business,or own part of it,& are set to retire, they have to pay 66%of their earnings…how can you sit there and say that won’t affect them? Clearly you have no idea of how much money is needed to retire in Canada these days. Do the math.
It’s truly remarkable how tough Albertans and Canadians are, even in the face of endless federal tax hikes…
First it was the carbon tax which shuffles money around Ottawa and does nothing for the environment.
Now it’s the capital gains tax hikes aimed directly at our seniors, doctors, and family farms here in Alberta.
This will do nothing but continue to drive up the costs of everyday living and make life more expensive.
Let’s all tell Ottawa to axe both of these taxes. Canadians know far better than politicians how to spend their hard earned money.
This is utterly ridiculous!
Ottawa now wants to muzzle folks in the oil and gas industry who talk publicly about emission reduction alternatives that are different from Steven Guilbeault’s failed carbon tax.
Alberta will not comply with this undemocratic Liberal-NDP gag order. We will explore every option to stop this egregious assault on the constitutionally protected right to freedom of speech.

Jagmeet Singh's spokesman and brother is a lobbyist for Metro.
Is this why the NDP keeps supporting Justin Trudeau's massive corporate handouts to powerful grocery chains?
Watch @rebeccakschulz’s conversation with the Calgary Food Bank about how @s_guilbeault’s ideological ambitions and Liberal-NDP policies are hurting our most vulnerable families.
The federal plastics ban means the Calgary Food Bank’s costs for bags have gone from $3,000 to $70,000 a year…. And the carbon tax on their March energy bill for one building alone was almost $4000!
SK NDP Leader Carla Beck took three days off last week to fly to Ottawa to attend a Canadian Labour Congress meeting to plot strategy to get the Trudeau-NDP government re-elected.
Don’t believe the SK NDP when they tell you they don’t support Trudeau, Singh and the carbon tax.
maybe People will wake up and see , the ndp & libs are ok with the fact that Canadians can’t afford to live because of the carbon tax on everything
3 weeks ago, Jagmeet Singh voted with his coalition partner Justin Trudeau to hike his costly carbon tax on gas, heat, and groceries by 23%.
Now, as his NDP MPs are jumping ship, he’s trying desperately to run from his own record.
But we won’t let him forget, and we won’t let him try to fool Canadians.
The carbon tax coalition of Singh/Trudeau is not worth the cost.
Premiers have respectfully asked the Prime Minister for a meeting to discuss the carbon tax.
Here is the snarky answer that we got.
That’s not leadership.
Trudeau: we're here to build Canada's housing!
Also Trudeau: Housing isn't a federal responsibility.
After 8 years of Trudeau, your housing costs have DOUBLED.
He's not worth the cost.
The carbon tax is a shell game used to tax and transfer money to areas where the Prime Minister needs more votes.
It does not help the environment or reduce emissions.
FACT: The carbon tax makes food more expensive for every Canadian family.
Right here in Okotoks, Alberta the Kielstra farm pays over $180,000 in carbon taxes to produce the food that families need.
Thank you to Member of Parliament, John Barlow, for highighting this.
The Bank of Canada says low economic productivity in Canada is now a national emergency.
Turns out that Trudeau-NDP anti-energy policies designed to shut our resource sector, an equalization formula that penalizes the most productive provinces, and a carbon tax that drives up the cost of everything for everyone aren’t great for productivity.
