@BasedAF1776X@realDonaldTrump Yes, things that are very fitting for the president. He really knows how to bring everyone together while not appearing like a 13 year old.
@51marine1@realDonaldTrump While reality is health care costs are sky rocketing and trump has massively cut grants for medical research.
The comic would be more effective if it actually had some real positive examples that trump did instead of made up lies but since that's impossible we get this.
@SpaceViking@cb_doge No way to manually drive the vehicle I think is enough to change the look of the road. I think a pretty giant leap to take that to mean no motorcycles
@omarvvvr lol what? It's already way ahead. I haven't manually written any code this year. We're still needed to work with the AI but truthfully I hardly even look at the code anymore.
We have the advantage of knowing how code works so we're better at steering the AI but thats about it.
@CharlesRollet1 People still use it? I know it was popular early on but I hardly hear it mentioned any more. Feels like mainly just Claude and codex now
@deredleritt3r@QRDL I use it everyday to write enterprise grade software. I worry about the people still manually coding. I have to spend extra time reviewing their code because often they miss trivial things the ai will always catch. It seems like they always introduce new bugs with every commit.
The Linux Firmware repository has added an “AGENTS.md” file which includes instructions to assist AI coding bots in submitting code to the repository.
The “AGENTS.md” file was, itself, written with an AI coding bot.
AI bots are writing documentation for other AI bots.
@gabriel1 The problem is memory. Once you start building your personal/project knowledge base/specs and have a model that can consume and keep all of that knowledge in context then youre there. As we continue to grow context and figure out memory better this will be solved
@netleaf2@johncrickett@JadedDeveloper Very true. You still have to prompt it and guide it in the right direction. People vibe coding / one shotting that are not developers or at least know a decent bit about computers still usually end up with MVP type apps that are hard to maintain and upgrade.
@EddythewalrusNZ@vivoplt I'm a professional developer who hasn't manually coded this year. We change and ship things daily. Code isn't magical. You can see what it does. You still do PRs and review those, however thats mostly done by ai now as well. You are talking like it's early 2025.
@vivoplt It still needs to be prompted and guided in the right direction. Still need to validate results and make sure it didn't go on a random side quest or misinterpret your prompt. Will be AI managers / directors / optimizers for a bit longer likely changing roles every few months.
