There will be maybe 1000 pools, reliability, performance & security is much more important then saving a few watts of energy per device. This is not PoW so no need to worry about the HW so much. Worry more that about 90% to be AWS.

The most healthy structure for non-profit is to have a single revenue stream from a staking pool. If the non-profit delivers & meets expectations, maybe more people stake & it can scale up ops. If it doesn’t deliver people might take their stake away & it has to scale down ops.

What a poor way of dealing with a lie. Their claim on compromising independence when having a non-profit via a staking pool for the GoC was clearly refused & “smiled at” by a respected leader of the Cardano Ecosystem. It’s a nonsense that undermines the intelligence of audience.
