We bid a fond farewell, this week, to our graduates at the Catholic Chaplaincy at Cardiff. Please do visit us again and remember us as the home away from home that we hope that you found whilst you were at university. God bless you on the next stage of your journey.
Delighted to announce our new CathSoc committee to take us forward into the new academic year. You will find us at the Catholic Chaplaincy during freshers week; look out for us there!
Our thanks to our gardeners, Helen and John, who have opened up the front of the Chaplaincy to make it more visible from Park Place. Hopefully, we’ll have fewer people telling us that they can’t find us now! #cardiffuni#catholicchaplaincy
Delighted to be able to put our 5 star rating for £1 meals after 6pm Sunday mass at the Aquinas Hall during term time. All possible because of our @TNLUK funded kitchen. It goes alongside our joint 5 star rating with @cardiffchaplain for Tuesday Soul food lunches #cardiffuni
While the exams go on and students have their heads in revision books, we’ve been asked by some alumni for more coverage of Magnus the Newman Hall cat. You ask; we provide…
"So sorry to hear of the tragic deaths of young people in Ely last night and all the upheaval experienced. I ask the Catholic community to pray for peace in our neighbourhoods and for this city we all love so much."
- Archbishop Mark O'Toole
Todays late springtime weather is just one of many reasons to decide to come to Cardiff once the A-level results are out late this summer. #cardiffuni#cometocardiff
Hugely grateful for the support of the Cardiff Catenians to help keep the work of the Chaplaincy funded. Still lots of building improvement projects needed including brick and stonework repair and the Aquinas hall food counter but we’ll get there with your support.
“Bore Da from Westminster Abbey! Here with Cardinal Vincent of Westminster, Archbishop Eamon of Armagh and Bishop Hugh of Aberdeen. Praying for God’s Blessing on our new King and for Wales and Herefordshire”
- Archbishop Mark O'Toole
We are looking to produce a Chaplaincy Hoodie for current students and alumni. It’ll be black with probably red, gold and white contrast colour options with the pelican as our reassumed Chaplaincy logo.
