@rdothilly@StanfordWBBBlog The writing is on the wall how this ends. How much more do the wheels have to fall off before a coaching change is made? The longer it takes the harder the rebuild is going to be for the next person who gets the job.
@stanfballupdate@a_g_haubner Time will tell. This was not lauded as a stellar hire. There were several other candidates that turned the job down eventually leading to Donahoe being hired. He was not Stanford’s first choice. It might work out. The bar was very low with after/Muir. Too soon to judge right now
@stanfballupdate@a_g_haubner His tenure as Nike CEO was widely viewed as a big failure. Just google his name and Nike and no shortage of content out there. All very bad. His ability as an AD is still to be determined. Hopefully he’s learned some lessons from his past mistakes as CEO.
@stanfballupdate@LeeFinleyPA@StanfordWBB@StanfordWBBBlog@ASUCoachCharli There are reasons to retain her, however they are not good reasons. Could be first WBB losing season in 40 years this coming year. Currently only 8 players. Achieving new program lows is not why she was hired Why does AD not care?
@cafedepoesie@stanfballupdate This is WAY past that point. No one wants to play for Paye. You can’t keep the coach if there’s no team left. If a player is in the portal those conservations with the coaches are long past.
@Marisa_Ingemi are you still working for the chronicle? Stanford Wbb in turmoil. Transfers galore. Toxic culture under Paye. Nothing to do with NIL. Free fall of the program. Please investigate. Paye needs to be gone. Need reporting on this important topic.
@moshark@StanfordWBBBlog Lots of talk of mistreatment of players, poor culture under Paye. That does not warrant 1-2 more years. 5 transfers and they are not leaving because of NIL. Possibly more transfers to come still.
