Mishra's Workshop is RIGHTFULLY banned in Legacy because lands should not tap for three mana on turn one. The restriction that you can only use this mana to cast artifacts hardly matters, because historically the most busted cards in Magic have been artifacts.

Anyone who has played with Grist, the Hunger Tide knows how much of a terror this card is. A planeswalker that can be searched for with creature tutors and is a creature spell on the stack.
