@DannyPage @paulmwatson As the screenshot (from the faq) suggests, Historie uses the local database that the browser already keeps. It doesn't need another database or a server.

We’ve been working on a new product that’s based on Caret and does most of what Caret does, hopefully, better. Caret still gets bug fixes. If you bought a license for Caret, you'll be able to use the same license for the new product (at no additional cost).

Caret 4.0 Beta 24 is here and it comes with a better layout engine and lots of other fixes and improvements. Give it and try and if you have any thoughts, please, let us know 🙏🏼

@mariusileana @mjedmonds_ The new app has better contrast and we work a lot but we still have a few more things to do before it's ready. We'll send out a newsletter when we have a release that's available for download (the first release will be a beta version for Mac). Thanks for the patience!
