We'll see truths which make sense of why there is suffering, and also consider what God has done, is doing, and will do, about that suffering. If you don't usually go to church, or aren't sure what you believe about God, we'd love to welcome you to join with us; July 27th, 6pm.
"If God is good, why is there suffering?"
- This is an ancient question, but one that is every bit as relevant in 2025 as it was thousands of years ago.
To think about this ancient question, we're going to look at an ancient book, the Bible. And, just as the ancient question is still powerful today, we'll see that this thousands-of-years-old book still has surprising wisdom for us today.
Or is it a life with something more, something greater, than any of these things?
Join us for our guest service on Sunday June 29th at 10:30am, to find out what the life Jesus offers looks like, and to know how you can have it for yourself!
Jesus said, "I have come that people may have life, and have it to the full."
Have you ever thought about what a full life looks like? Is it a life with a steady job and stable finances? A life full of exciting experiences? A life with a loving partner and 2.4 children?
After the event, along with other refreshments we're going to have some of the best coffee you've ever tasted straight from @manumitcoffee - the coffee roastery Dai runs, which employs survivors of modern slavery. All of this is free; it will be great to see you there!
On Sunday 18th May at 6pm, we will have a Real Lives event, great to come along to whether you normally go to church or not!
There will be songs from our music group, though nobody will expect you to join in with the singing!
Dai will then speak for about 15 minutes about how the good news of Jesus can transform all our lives!
Hear a couple of minutes of Dai speaking here about God's amazing love for his people, and the assurance that gives to all who are trusting in Jesus!

See you there!
You probably recognise this world isn't as it should be. The question is: Can we have any certain hope for something better? As we look at the Bible , we'll see the problem is worse than we realised, but through Jesus, the hope is greater and more certain than we've dreamed!
Burns Night is a Scottish cultural celebration of the poet Robert Burns. We'll be hosting a Burns Night on the evening of Friday 24th January with poetry readings, haggis to eat, perhaps some live music, and a short talk on Scottish culture and Jesus.
Does God forgive wrongdoing, or does he punish it? Is he forgiving, or is he fair and just?
If you've ever wondered about this question, Jack will help us see how through Jesus, God has worked perfect justice and total forgiveness, and what a wonderful thing that can be for us!
Discovering Jesus: a great six-week group for those wanting to explore more about Jesus, and get some great insights into the times he lived in. Whether you're exploring him for the first time, or wanting to understand more about your Christian faith, this will be really helpful.
Real Lives: Dr Chris Sinkinson will be at Carey at 6pm on Sunday 13th October, where he'll be interviewed and will help us think about how archaeology can help confirm truths the Bible tells us.
Often in church we want to think about reasons *to* believe and come to God. At 10:30am on Sunday 13th October, we'll be thinking about a story Jesus told where people gave reasons for not coming to him. Come along and see whether you think those were good reasons!
Good Food, Good Question: Digging Up The Truth!
Can we really trust the words of a book that was written thousands of years ago? Join us on the evening of Saturday 12th October (7-9pm), to find out!
Live music / tasty puddings / great talk
