Another first hand account…again facts…not politics…matter:

“I live in one of those rural areas of SC who had so many downed trees. Every road was blocked with 100's of trees. I suffered danage due to fallen trees, neighbors had trees in their homes. We didn't have electricity or even cell service for 6 days. And I say "only" 6 days because city lineman worked tirelessly to make it happen. Neighbors fed us for those 6 days having a generator, stored our refrig and froz food, shower, wifi...and neighbors were sawing trees down so people could get through or out of their homes...this is a mostly over 65 community. They and the churches mobilized and helped each other. And all of us are angry FEMA hasn't acknowledged us. We are retirees with limited incomes having to pay for our damages whenever we can get someone out to clear it for us. So many still don't have power. Stores don't have refrigerated and frozen foods. The pharmacy opened on day 5 and we went into the dark store and got our meds. We all pulled together because that's who we are, but our gov't let us down.”
