If I could write my life as a musical, it would be devastatingly handsome, nominally painful, a little bit rock, a tad jazzy and sans any sarcasm - whatsoever.
I rarely post here. At almost 65, βdinosaurβ comes to mind. Except lately, Iβve met younger friends, you know, the age they could be my children. Iβm in awe of my younger counterparts. They inspire and wake this girl up. Be open to others. π
So much social media platforms, so little social media time.
In any case, Iβm coming to few conclusions about my life, which is right on time, as Iβm 65 in October and life has a way of kicking one in the gut. So Iβm wide awake these days.
@Dearme2_ As parents, we too, must take ownership of our choices. Engage in past mistakes, be willing to address what feels most uncomfortable then feel the burn. Parents can blame their children as much as the opposite. Insight is gained by acknowledging choices.
In my deepest sadness, therein lies this beautiful soul, my grandson. Family isnβt always connected by DNA. I will always love my daughters, accepted my horrific mistakes years ago. Now in my mid-sixties, I choose LIFE. Love always grows.
As one who has been told many times to not contact my children, by my children, suffice it to say, I continue to honor those wishes. They are convicted with their decision, as am I about reaching out. Accountability is a great resource for healing.
