Sylphie knew from the beginning, this was one of the main reasons why she couldn't tell Rudeus. She said so herself on V9 that it was because he was close with the Boreas.

One of the many reasons why she couldn't tell him that Fitz was Sylphie was because she feared that Rudeus might seek revenge against Ariel for that.

Also remember that Pilemon (Luke's Father and Ariel's only support) was the one who wanted Eris as a concubine so he could give her to Darius and win her favor.

This is why Phillip didn't want for people to know that Rudeus was staying there.

Rudeus could take the position as the head of the Notos, join with the Boreas, crush Pilemon and Ariel as revenge.
