Me posing with the centerpiece of our @memphisbme dept's Welcome Week event (our chair @bumgardnerjd is a big Star Wars fan). -I had to resist calling non-BME folks "rebel scum," and more kindly referred to them as "not the droids we're looking for" #DelusionsOfGrandeur
Nothing like getting new furniture and updated computers for biomedical engineering teaching lab to make one feel smart π€ and ready for the termπ€ ! Love enhancing BME students learning experiences!!

@mwentzel Yes, the Word of Life mural correctly calls all scoring plays--including when Notre Dame holds their opponent to a field goal π
-I trust you watched Rudy (and shed tears at the end) multiple times to prepare for your trip?
I've been very fortunate to reel in a couple of grants in the last month, but for those still seeking their first, I want to note that I first-authored *7* unsuccessful federal grant proposals before any won funding (i.e., I still have a low batting average). #KeepGrinding
This week Dr. Stephanie Ivey, associate dean for Research/Civil Engineering professors and the students STEM Ambassadors, hosted a robotics camp! High schoolers and middles schoolers came from all over the county for this experience.
Pumped to share that our R15/AREA project on TCD device & method development is officially funded! Huge thanks to my collaborators at @UTHSC, @RhodesCollege, @UNC, and of course to the @NIH/@NIBIB! Our undergrad research is turbo charged! π @UofMemphisEngr@memphisbme
